Researchers tapping into ice-based natural gas

Researchers at Columbia University say they may have discovered a way to extract natural gas from methane hydrates -- unstable ice-like structures buried below the ocean floor and Arctic permafrost that potentially contain more energy than all the coal, oil and natural gas in the world.
